Make Jug Fantasy Changes by 10 a.m. June 21

Little Brown Jug Fantasy players take note.  Eleven of the 14 starters in Saturday’s $177,520 Cleveland Classic at Northfield Park are eligible to the Little Brown Jug.  You have until 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21st to make changes in your stable.

If you have any of the 11 Jug eligibles in your stable, you may add them to your active roster.  The list  of starters who will race in the two divisions of the Cleveland Classic and who are eligible to the Jug are listed below.

The first division is headed by Upfront Hannahsboy, fresh from a 1:49.2 stakes record win in the $98,000 North America Cup Consolation on June 14.  The second split features Blueridge Western, the richest horse in the field, with earnings of $371,000.  He won the $215,000 Berry’s Creek Final earlier this year in 1:50.1 at The Meadowlands.

Four  past winners of the Cleveland Classic went on to win the Little Brown Jug;  Precious Bunny (1991), Life Sign (1993), Nick’s Fantasy (1995) and Western Dreamer (1997).  One of last year’s Cleveland Classic division winners, Won The West, finished fourth in the final Jug heat.
